After that failure, I tried to boot the VM again but ran into the black screen. I ran into error code VBOX_E_NOT_SUPPORTED (0x80BB0009) so I could not adjust the size. vdi that was attached to the Ubuntu VM, and tried to increase its size of it by adjusting the slider. The last thing I did to the VM in VirutalBox was that I went into File > Virtual Media Manager, clicked on the. then a black screen appears and stays there.
Now when I boot, error messages appear, the Ubuntu loading screen appears, error messages flash for a split second then disappear. That normal sequence doesn't happen anymore. Normally when I boot, error messages appear, Ubuntu loads, a black screen appears, then the desktop appears (I don't have login details).
